Noelle stood alone in the dorm kitchen, in front of the counter, a large chef's knife in her hand. In front of her were all of the makings for a sandwich: turkey, lettuce, mayo, bread, cheese, and a large tomato, which she put on a cutting board and began to slice. She was dead tired from community service this afternoon, and not in the best of moods, a dark expression on her face.

Brandy hadn't eaten. She'd spent the best part of the last while in her room, crying and berating herself, until she finally had a headache and couldn't really ignore the rumbling in her stomach anymore.

Just. Go. Eat.

I... okay, but not much.

Eat. And take some tylenol.

Just a little b-

Oh for god's sake, are we going over this again? You're not fat.

But I'm not skinny either, but she i- oh, shit.

Ah... should've seen THIS one coming...

Seeing Noelle, the color drained from Brandy's eyes, until her grey gaze was fixed on the girl in a not-so-friendly look.

Noelle felt someone staring at her as she sliced up the tomato. She set the knife down and arranged the tomatoes on her mostly assembled sandwich, then looked up.

Oh fuck.

"Hey..." she said

"Hello," 'Brandy' said in an icy voice. "So... have a good weekend, I hear?"

"Yep." she said simply.

She sighed and set her sandwich plate down, turning to face her. "Listen, I'm sorry. I got drunk, your boyfriend is hot, and it does take two to tango, you know."

"Are you serious? That's all you've got? 'Oh, it happened, and it's not my fault because he didn't stop me?'"

"What the fuck do you want?" she snapped.

"Do you want me to promise to stay away from him? I will. He's all yours, and I know he likes you. Do you want me to fucking kiss up to you? Too damn bad. He fucked up from being drunk, and I fucked up because I'm me. I'm sorry I was a bad influence on him. He never would've touched me if he weren't drunk off his ass because he's not that kind of guy. Hi, I'm Noelle, the school slut--this sort of shit isn't new."

"Wow. Just wow, I don't think I've ever heard anyone sound that self-righteous when they're apparently admitting they were wrong before."

Noelle scowled. "You really want to hear what I have to say? Really?"

"I did it because I was jealous. I've always had a thing for him and he's always had a girlfriend. He's a guy that always does, and I'm a girl that never has a boyfriend. And you know what? You're fucking lucky. You have no idea how fucking lucky you are to have a guy who's smart, funny, good looking, and isn't a piece of shit. The booze just all brought it out."

Noelle, by this point, was almost looking more sad than angry. "So, I'm fucking sorry that I wanted to see what it was like to be kissed by someone who wants more than just pussy. But you know what? You don't have to worry about it, because he'd probably do damn near anything to apologize to you, and he'll never come near me again. I'm always that girl, the one who tempts a guy away for a little while, but they always go back where they belong. I'm a fucking slut, and I'm always just a temporary thing. I'll never be ANYTHING MORE THAN A GOOD SCREW TO ANYONE! DO YOU FUCKING HEAR ME!?" Noelle finally snapped, screaming as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"SO GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FACE, AND GO ENJOY HAVING SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT YOU AS MORE THAN A FUCKING FRIEND THAT PUTS OUT, YOU STUPID BITCH!"

The plate Noelle gripped in her hand flared brightly and then exploded with a loud boom, breaking several glasses that were in the sink and splattering the wall and cabinets with bits of turkey sandwich.

She there for a moment, her chest heaving, face red, and cheeks wet with tears before pushing past Brandy and moving towards the hallway.

Brandy stood there in silence, watching Noelle rant, then recoiled in a panic as the plate exploded. She stood, slowly wiping stray bits of turkey sandwich from her face, waiting for the next explosion or hit that never came until Noelle stormed out.

Um... Taylor?

Yeah, sis?

Did it just make me a horrible, horrible person that I enjoyed the hell out of that?

Nah, I think we're good. Let's eat.

"Hi." Rabiah said as she walked into the kitchen "Um, what was that about, if you don't mind my asking."

"Oh, she was just yelling at me because she decided to get my boyfriend drunk to make out with him," "Brandy" answered as she swept the broken glass off of the shelf into the trash can.

"Yeah, that sounds like Noelle." Rabiah replied "The girl has zero self-respect, and she'll do anything to get a guy's attention."

"Yeah, I'm getting that impression," Brandy said. "Apparently, it's my fault or something. Honestly, I would've just dropped it with an 'I'm sorry,' but that's too much for her I guess."

"She wants to be a good person, and I think she could be." Rabiah said thoughtfully "If she'd just get her act together, and stop letting herself be used."

"If she wasn't happy about it, she'd stop doing it. She obviously knows it's a problem because she said so. This just looks like more begging for attention."

"Or she's in pain, self-destructive and doesn't know how to stop being an idiot." Rabiah replied, trying to be fair "I feel sorry for her, honestly."
